My two-year-old ran in the door tonight and threw herself on my body, her home base. It is not lost on me that there’s a two-year-old in Illinois who will never get to press his body against his mother’s again. And a baby in New York who
It’s a glamorous life, folks.
When I see MAPLE on a shelf like this, all I can think (aside from omgthatsmybook—truly, it never gets old) is that the future for our kids, as readers, is so bright.

Advance copies of this beauty arrived today, and what a wonder to hold her in my hands after all this time. MAPLE is the first book I’ve written with my own kids in mind as readers. Early reviews: shiny cover, bright colors, tastes good. I&rsqu
